Today's message begins our Advent series.  This year we will be looking at the theology of the hymns of faith we sing during Advent.  Each week we will look closely at a specific Advent hymn and mine it for its rich, theology and worshipful content.  Listen each week and then join us for a Monday through Friday journaling experience by downloading the weekly Faith & Life Discovery Journal at: www.discoveryjournal.wordpress.com.  God bless you and thanks for listening.

Jesus didn't call his church to a life of mediocrity and inactivity.  He called his church to carry on the mission he began in his earthly ministry.  Risk-taking mission and service is the way effective churches embrace their call to be in ministry in the world.  Ministry in the way of Christ is risky, but so worth it.  Thanks for listening and God bless!

This message kicked off a month long sermon series focused on the Holy Spirit.  Too often the Church fails to live in the power and be led by the presence of the Holy Spirit.  Individual believers often fail to understand the Holy Spirit's role in their faith journey and the amazing spiritual resource his ministry provides.  Thanks for listening and God bless.
