Cotinued Prayer Request
We ask for continued prayer for the Manokotak translator.  Paul Nash and Brian Davidson got out there yesterday and found the translator needing more reconfiguring, and also that Friends of KAKN had lowered their translator's position in Dillingham so that we could no longer reach the receiver in Manokotak Heights.  More technical challenges for Manokotak, but we remain dedicated to getting it working as soon as possible.  Pray for all involved.

As we keep telling people, every time we thought we were close to getting Manokotak working, one or another thing, generally out of our hands, has come about and presented a new challenge and kept things from moving forward.  Meanwhile there are residents in Manokotak who cotonue faithfully praying for our sucess -- they have a great desire for the programming to encourage them on their won walk, but even more for unsaved loved ones, especially those struggling with substance abuse issues, to be able to hear the Word on a daily basis from someone besides themselves.  We are so thankful for their faithfulness and are not giving up.  Manokotak WILL get up and running; we know the Lord's Word will successfully go forth!

Dillingham Native Christian Gathering
Ladies PraiseThere has been so much change happening here, between ownership and the staff needing to turn over, that it has been all too lose track of what might be put on this website.  So many things have seemed to changeable and there has been little free time for just sitting quietly and composing thoughts on what you, our web readers, would best be inspired by.  So let's back up from late August and go back a couple of months to help catch us up.

In early summer, just as fishing season was beginning to start, Yupik Gospel singer Grace Ann Smith made a round of Bristol Bay -- starting with two days she then went to Manokotak and on to over a week in Togiak where she shared testimony and music with gatherings of Native Christians.

Grace's last CD was dedicated in part to Annika and KAKN Radio, and Annika was able to make it to Dillingham for the Saturday night gathering, both in support of her sister in Christ and to represent KAKN, sharing her testimony and the commitment KAKN has to keeping the airwaves Native friendly, including Native music and the Native programming that we have on Saturday evenings (and of course Native Musicale, an annual gathering of Native believers who worship together in song over the course of a week).
