Lakeside's Chapter 2

Weekend storms again result in service cancellation
God First movement starts in January 11th

Lakeside again cancelled worship services January 4th due to a weekend winter storm--the third one in the last four weekends.

Worship was incorporated in with the Sunday night prayer meeting (see picture below) after folks were plowed out.

"Grace Means First Place is the first teaching message in the God First  movement for 2009," revealed Dick Jorgensen, Lakeside's minister.

"The key question," he adds is 'What would your life be like
if you put God first in every area--such as at home, at work,
in your family, in your decisions, and in your finances?'"

God first has always been the call of God to His people.
"Love Me first, have no other god's but Me, unless I'm first
you are not worthy of Me."

"When we get grace," Jorgensen went on, "we are motivated
and drawn to want Him first in our lives--it's a return love deal."

Pictured below are two valuable tools to focus God First
in living. The first is the God First Pocket Chip to carry as a reminder of Who's on first in life.

The second is a God First window decal for car or home.
Youth put them on school notebooks, women attached
them to windows, and guys transfer them to their cars.
The one pictured below is on a window orniment.

Both the pocket chip and the window decal open doors for spiritual conversations, as well as, reminding believers to
give God first place in their lives.

Point of Power, the weekly broadcast over KPRM 870 AM of Lakeside's worship service, will focus on God First starting in January 18th. Listeners will be given oportunity to have both the pocket chip and the window decal for the asking.
Point of Power airs each Sunday morning at 10 am.

Sympathy for the Jorgensen family is extended at the death of Pauline Jorgensen, Dick's mother, December 29. Inurnment was January 1, 2009, Summit Lawn Cemetery, Brazil, IN.
She was 94.

Lakeside Christian meets in the Hubbard (MN) Community Center each Sunday morning at 10 am. The Center is located
at 12141 County Road 6 (Main Street) across from the
Long Lake Theatre.

From Park Rapids, MN, take US 71 south four miles to State Road 87 and turn east for three miles, then turn south into Hubbard.

Come as you are, grace happens.
